Cherry Blossom Grove

                              Cherry Blossom Grove

Cherry Blossom season just passed by, and I saw a lot of paintings trending on the internet, and decided to give one a try for myself. I painted this on a flat, 25 x 25 cm canvas, with acrylic paint, which is actually a medium I'm quite new to... So here it is:    A stream running under a small wooden bridge, in the middle of a Cherry Blossom grove...

Cherry blossoms are native to Asia, and have many symbolisms. They are believed to be metaphors of human existence or life, as they are short-lived and only bloom at a certain time of the year. They also represent qualities like mindfulness, mortality and living in the present. They also represent good fortune.
